When I say photography has been my first true love, I am not kidding. From a young age, I was drawn to storytelling and the everyday magic photographs held onto. As a little girl, I begged my parents for disposable cameras, instinctively wanting to capture my friends and family whenever I could. I received my first digital camera in middle school. That camera was with me everywhere I went, documenting the many beautifully embarrassing moments that happen when you’re young.
Eventually my love led me to Calgary, where I attended SAIT’s journalism program and graduated with honours, majoring in photography. It was there that storytelling evolved into both a technical skill and a deep passion. Learning how to observe more closely, listen more intentionally, and tell stories with care and integrity changed the way I saw the world. I left with the understanding that truth often lives in the spaces between words—in the pauses, the emotions, and the unspoken moments.
Today, my work is shaped by my education and more than a decade behind the camera. I know how to guide and pose when structure is helpful and when to gently step back and allow moments to unfold naturally.
My Approach & Why It’s Different
The heart of photography, for me, is you— you and your partner, you and your family, you in awe of the beautiful life you have created and nurtured, knowing it isn’t forever, yet deserves to be remembered.
A daughter’s look for approval toward her mother, the best man’s soft smile during his brother’s vows, or the moment a bride steps into her dress on her wedding day. I notice these seemingly small moments and celebrate these connections.
My approach allows your gallery to become a true reflection of you—capturing the moments that mattered most, exactly as they happened. I invite my clients to be exactly who they are by taking the time to get to know you. I want to learn about your connection. Show me your favourite photos.
